At CYBER KIDS there are seven formal levels of instruction. At each level there is different emphasis both in content and in philosophy depending on two parameters: age and prior knowledge.

In addition, there are courses that lead to specific examinations such as GCSE or following other industry-defined professional standards.

MINORS Levels

Children under 8/9 years of age may attend a MINORS class. There are two formal MINORS levels (MINORS A/B). Registration in any MINORS level depends solely on the age of the child and there is no requirement that one MINORS level be completed before attending the next one. If the child is still under 9, s/he can register for MINORS C before attending JUNIORS A.

Typical ages

Level Age
MINORS A 5-6-7
MINORS B 7-8 or MINORS A graduate
MINORS C 7-9 or MINORS B graduate but <9

Instruction at MINORS levels emphasizes mainly the psycho-social and mental development of the child and less the technical aspects of computer technology. The computer is used mainly as a tool to develop creativity, interest and self initiative in learning. Thus, the computer skills are learned by the children indirectly, by focusing attention on educational projects in a playful and friendly way.
