The Provost's Teaching Award is a prestigious prize awarded to selected academicians of a tertiary education establishment for proven innovation and high standards in their teaching activities.

Yiannis Laouris has received a Provost's Teaching Award from the University of Arizona in 1990 for introducing multimedia in teaching neurophysiology to in-training neurologists. Many of the concepts developed for the neurophysiology computer based training have been subsequently introduced in the CYBER KIDS Curriculum.
