The Medical Innovation Award is a prestigious University of Arizona Award given to professors for their innovative initiatives in teaching activities. Yiannis Laouris has received this Award from the University of Arizona in 1991 for designing a pseudo expert system in HyperCard based on multimedia principles in teaching neurophysiology to medical and nursing school curricula. The experience gained has been introduced in CYBER KIDS Curriculum, and HyperCard became the key computer language in which all CYBER KIDS were introduced even from the age of 7-8 years.
